VINCENNES, Ind. - Vincennes University’s international student population includes many who trace their origin or descent to various Asian cultures. A limited number of tickets are available for an International Banquet highlighting Asian Culture Oct. 25, 6 p.m. EDT, at VU’s Green Activities Center, 120 W. Harrison Street.

The menu will feature egg drop soup, Korean beef, shrimp stir fry, vegetarian fried rice, Thai noodles with chicken, fresh tossed salad, and dessert.

Tickets cost $5 and must be purchased in advance; they are available at VU’s Old Post Bookstore located in the Beckes Student Union, 1101 N. 2nd Street. Tickets are free for VU employees and students with valid I.D. and may be picked up at the Bookstore.

VU Asian students will give a presentation and special guest Dr. Rong Yang will speak. Dr. Yang is one of six surgeons at Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes. He earned his medical degree from Shanghai Medical University and has been in practice for more than 20 years.
