A group from Japan recently toured the Confined Space Training Facility at Vincennes University's Gibson County Center for Advanced Manufacturing and Logistics. The group is from Gibson County's sister city of Tahara, Japan, home to a Toyota manufacturing plant that was the "mother plant" to the TMMI plant in Gibson County. They returned to Japan on Oct. 3. The mock mine the group toured has 11 entrances on three sides of the structure. VU approved construction of the mock mine last year after receiving funding for the project in the state budget.
