May 11, 2019 / Postseason play begins for Trailblazer golf team
VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University golf team will begin the
postseason at the NJCAA Division II District I/Region 24 Tournament at
The Donald Ross Course in French Lick, Indiana.
The 54-hole event is May 12-13 at the French Lick resort. The field
includes VU, Parkland, Rend Lake, Illinois Central, Lincoln Trail and
Lewis and Clark.
Parkland is tied for No. 6 in the most recent NJCAA Division II Men’s
Golf National Rankings. Rend Lake received votes in the poll.
Golfers will play 36 holes on May 12 and 18 holes on May 13.
The Trailblazers competed in Division III last season and won the
national team championship in Chautauqua, New York.
VU will attempt to qualify for the Division II national championship
tournament which is being held closer to home. The NJCAA Division II
Men’s Golf Championship is May 21-24 at Swan Lake Golf Resort in
Plymouth, Indiana.
