March 9, 2020 / Vincennes University and Vincennes University Jasper hosting open houses for prospective students

VINCENNES, Ind. – Vincennes University and Vincennes University Jasper are inviting prospective students and their parents to experience college.

PreVU Day is a special open house that allows students to take an interactive tour of the more than 200-acre Vincennes campus, Indiana’s most affordable residential college, or the 140-acre Jasper campus.
Attendees will hear about exciting and varied academic programs, student life, and facilities. The day concludes with complimentary lunch.

PreVU days are scheduled for March 20 and 21, and April 17 and 18 on the Vincennes campus. VU Jasper will host PreVU on April 8.

“We will have faculty, student activities and student support services available, as well as an in-depth campus tour,” VU Director of Admissions Heidi Whitehead said. “It’s a chance to see what all VU offers. It’s a great opportunity for prospective students and their families.”

Anyone interested in studying at VU or VU Jasper is welcome to attend. Admissions and financial aid counselors will be present, as will faculty from the University’s more than 180 academic programs. In addition to associate degrees, six bachelor’s degrees and 57 professional certificates, VU offers more than 400 transfer opportunities.

“The best way to find out if a college is the right fit is to visit campus,” VU Jasper Admissions Counselor Lisa Witte said.

Visitors can ask professors, staff, and students questions about specific areas of interest.

Focus days are designed to put the spotlight on specific programs of study, as well as, an opportunity for attendees to take part in special events hosted by each College. The April 17 date will focus on Health Sciences and Human Performance majors. All majors are invited to attend focus days.
