September 24, 2019 / Vincennes University Department of Music presenting concert featuring student performing groups

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Department of Music is presenting “A Gala Concert” on Oct. 2 at 7:30 p.m. in the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center Theatre.

The public is invited and admission is free. Doors open at 7 p.m.

The evening will showcase a variety of VU student performing groups, including the VU Concert Band, under the direction of Susie Jackson; Concert Choir, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Harris; Jazz Ensemble, under the direction of Addisson Grimm; VU Connection, under the direction of Dr. Jennifer Harris; Brass Ensemble, under the direction of Addisson Grimm; Percussion Ensemble, under the direction of Susie Jackson; and Woodwind Ensemble, under the direction of Joyce Kim-Rohrer.  The concert will feature a wide variety of traditional and contemporary choral and wind literature.

The theatre is located on the VU campus at 20 W. Red Skelton Blvd.

VINCENNES UNIVERSITY - Indiana’s First College
