January 14, 2020 / Vincennes University is hosting a “Day With Robots”

VINCENNES, Ind. – Students in grades 5-12 will get hands-on with robots on Sat., Feb. 1 during a “Day With Robots” hosted by the Vincennes University Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology program.

Participants will get up close and personal with robots by learning how to run and program a robot. They’ll program and design circuits that work in today’s world, and learn about jobs for the future that require in-demand technical skills.

“It will be a great look at what type of career opportunities are available in the area,” VU Advanced Manufacturing Automation Technology Program Coordinator and Advanced Manufacturing Technician Supervisor Tim Hedrick said.

The world of technology is ever-changing. Demand for trained professionals to install, program, maintain, and troubleshoot the machines that make up the "factory of the future" is rapidly increasing.

The second annual “Day With Robots” will take place 9:30 a.m.-3 p.m. EST in the Vincennes University Technology Center, 1300 N. Chestnut St.
