VINCENNES, Ind. - The Vincennes University Board of Trustees
welcomed the coaches and players of the 2018-19 Golf Team and Men’s
Basketball Team to the Board’s April 24 meeting, recognizing them for
winning their respective NJCAA National Championships.
On a recommendation from the Finance/Revenue Committee, the
Board accepted bids to update the Wathen Business Building: Wolfe
Construction, Vincennes, general contracting, $1,185,160; Huntingburg
Machine Works, Huntingburg, mechanical construction, $1,582,803; and
Jerry Smith Electric, Vincennes, electrical construction, $1,139,684.
The total bid for the project was presented as $3,907,647.
In other business, the Board:
* approved promotions and
tenure for faculty and professional staff, as submitted by the
Personnel and Nominating Committee.
* approved two new academic
programs designed to meet workforce needs and demands - Advanced Cyber
Security and Information Assurance Certificate (CPC) and Technology
Apprenticeship Certificate (CG).
* discussed the strategic plan
metrics for the University, which have been set by the Continuous
Quality Improvement (CQI) Committee.
