Ryan Young is an Adjunct Instructor in the Geoscience, Agriculture, and Horticulture Department. Ryan received his B.S. in Geology from the University of Southern Indiana in 2020. During his tenure at USI Ryan’s undergraduate work focused on hydrogeologic properties of wetlands in northeastern Michigan. Ryan’s independent research at USI included the study of igneous petrology, geochemistry, and the development of virtual field applications for eastern Maine . He is currently the Vincennes District Geologist for the Indiana Department of Transportation. As a State employee Ryan oversees the quality control process for geologic materials used in State infrastructure projects.
When I'm Not Teaching
Ryan enjoys spending time with his family and being outdoors. His hobbies include playing golf, watching professional hockey, and photographing the geology of Indiana.
