MBA and past CCA, is the Program Chair of both the
Agribusiness Program and Cosmetology Program at Vincennes, University. She
has been teaching and advising various programs at Vincennes University for over
28 years. She brings with her over 30 years of experience in the business industry.
Ms. Brocksmith earned an Agricultural Systems Management Bachelor of Science
Degree from Purdue University and a Masters of Business Administration from Ball
State University.

She has been instrumental in keeping the Agribusiness program up to date and
adding the Agribusiness concentration - Bachelors of Technology, Urban Ag and a
new Drone class. Ms. Brocksmith works diligently with her students to find
internships and careers. She also involves students in active learning in the class
room and sponsors the Ag Club which is a collegiate Farm Bureau club. The club is
very active in going to the Farm Bureau Young Farmer and Rancher national

Ms. Brocksmith has developed and instructed several workshops and courses in
agricultural practices in the community and at Vincennes University. Ms. Brocksmith
received an Award for Exemplary Service for Vincennes University and the National
Institute for Staff and Organizational Development Excellence Award from the
University of Texas at Austin. Ms. Brocksmith was named 2017 National Farm Mom
of the Year. The Agribusiness program received the Awards of Excellence twice
from the State of Indiana.

Ms. Brocksmith is working hard with our Cosmetology program students to offer
schedules to meets the demands of today’s market. She is works with Jessy Fessel,
Vincennes Beauty College to ensure the curriculum and activities seamlessly work
with State Licensure and is kept up to date.

Ms. Brocksmith is co-owner with her husband of the family farm. She is an active
member of the Indiana Presbyterian Church and is a past elder. Ms. Brocksmith
believes in servant leadership for both her students and the community. She is on
the Board of Directors for Knox County Chamber of Commerce, Good Samaritan
Hospital, Ag Advisory Council for the Purdue Extension – Knox County, and Farm
Bureau as well as several other boards.

Advises: All Agribusiness and Cosmetology students including the Agribusiness
Concentration - B.S. Technology Degree options.
