Admission for Non-degree Seeking Students
Applicants who wish to register and accumulate less than 15 credit hours and who do not intend to pursue a degree or certificate at VU may be conditionally admitted as a non-degree seeking student by completing the Non-Degree Seeking Student Application.
Applicants must meet the prerequisites for the courses in which they enroll and, therefore, may be required to take VU’s Accuplacer placement exam.
All students who wish to live in a residence hall or apply for financial aid must apply for admission and meet the admission requirements under Admission for Degree-Seeking Students, whether or not they intend to obtain a degree.
Students who register for or have earned fifteen or more credit hours are required to apply for admission and meet the requirements under Admission for Degree-Seeking Students. Applicants who are unable to demonstrate their college readiness by obtaining a federally-designated minimum score on the placement exam may appeal to the Director of Admissions to have their application reviewed.
