Head Bowling Coach
Committing to Vincennes in June 2012 for the bowling management program, Coach Gibson made his way from Middletown, Delaware to tryout for the VU bowling team and succeeded as a walk-on. After graduating in 2014 with an A.S. he received word from former head coach, Gary Sparks, that the program had switched to 4-year status. Without question Gibson returned in 2014-15 to complete an A.S. in electronics technology. Accompanying his degrees came a national championship (2014), an "All-American" award for performance and became one of the 1st 4-year athletes in the history of the program. Upon graduation, Coach Gibson moved on to run a bowling center at Kansas State University and coached credited bowling courses as well. After once again receiving a call from Coach Sparks about a position managing the center as well as being the head mechanic, he made his way back to Vincennes University. Accepting the position offered in 2017, eight months after being hired, Coach Sparks retired and Coach Gibson stepped in and filled the mantle effective June 2018.
"I am excited to take the already very successful team and introduce a new culture to the atmosphere that will inspire even more success in our athletes." -Coach Gibson
