Follow Trailblazer men's, women's baskeball teams' on NJCAATV throughout NJCAA national championship tournaments

If you weren't able to make the trip to Hutchinson, KS, with the Vincennes University Men's Basketball Team or to Lubbock, TX, with the VU Women's Basketball Team for NJCAA national championship tournament action, you can follow both Trailblazer squads online via NJCAATV and Jock Jive Sports Productions. The tournaments both begin today and wrap up Saturday with the championship and consolation games.

The 14th seed VU men face No. 19 seed Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, while the 19th seed Trailblazer women will take on 14th seed Northeast (NE) in their tournaments' opening rounds. The men will be vying for a shot at No. 3 seed Georgia Highlands at 7 p.m.  Wednesday. If the VU women are victorious on Tuesday, they would move on to meet third-seeded Salt Lake at 5 p.m. Wednesday.

The VU teams' first games of the 2016 NJCAA Div. I national tournaments will be at the exact same scheduled time of 11 a.m. Tuesday (EST or "Vincennes time"). But, once you decide which game to watch - or if you want to follow both at the same time via online stream on two computers or portable devices - visit and choose from Live, Upcoming or Archived broadcasts of NJCAA National Championship events.

We suggest that you give the online stream a trial run with today's tournament games that begin at 11 a.m. (EST) so you can ensure that your computer or portable devices have the proper software and other capabilities to view the VU games on Tuesday.

**If you don't have a computer or portable device, you can still follow the VU men on radio. Each Trailblazer men's game at Hutchinson, KS, will be broadcast live on Blazer 91.1 WVUB-HD, with Dave Hunter providing the play-by-play.

The Vincennes University Athletic Department hosts Play4Kay and raises donations for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund annually. VU Women’s Basketball Coach and Athletic Director Harry Meeks has a special connection to the late Yow, who was the longtime coach at North Carolina State. He had the pleasure of meeting her while he was an assistant coach at Western Carolina University. This left a lasting impression on him and made this cause important to him and the Trailblazers.

About Us

At VU, we believe sports play an important role in the overall purpose of an educational institution. We support a well-rounded intercollegiate sports program for both men and women and have a strong presence in the NJCAA where we can claim several national championships. But we are equally proud of our individual All-American and All-American Academic athletes who have used their talent to continue their education at four-year colleges.
