REMINDER: VU begins tournament action TODAY in Hutchinson; All VU games will be available via radio, online video stream

HUTCHINSON, Kan. - Don't forget that the VU Men's Basketball Team (32-1) looks to continue its upward arc in the NJCAA National Championship Tournament TODAY when the 9th-seeded Trailblazers start tournament action at 1 p.m. (EST) vs. Cochise (based in Arizona) as VU's first round opponent. All games in "Hutch" can be heard on Blazer 91.1 WVUB with Dave Hunter on the call. Today's VU game will also be available to view via njcaatv at:

The links for watching the streams of following Trailblazer games will be made available prior to the game dates and times.

If VU (32-1) reaches the semifinals, fan buses will make the trip to Hutchinson for the Final Four. The buses will also transport the VU Pep Band and cheerleaders. If you would like to reserve space on a fan bus or get more information, call the VU Athletic Department at 812-888-4511.

Play for Kay Cancer Awareness

The Kay Yow Cancer Fund, in partnership with the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and The V Foundation, is a 501 (c)(3) charitable organization committed to being a part of finding an answer in the fight against women's cancers through raising money for scientific research, assisting the underserved and unifying people for a common cause. Kay Yow was a college head coach for 38 years and past president and founding member of the Women's Basketball Coaches Association. Her name is synonymous with North Carolina State. She is a member of the Naismith National Basketball Hall of Fame and achieved more than 700 career victories. Yow was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987. She passed away in 2009 after an on-again, off-again battle with the disease.

Scholarship Fund

Trailblazer Scholarship Fund - The VU Foundation awarded a record $1.4 million scholarship dollars of VU Foundation and University funds for the 2015-2016 school year to incoming and returning VU students.  

These included awards to students from 10 states across the country and 4 international awards.  

Currently the VU Foundation manages over 540 scholarship and department funds, with 259 new funds created in just the last 10 years.
