Trailblazer Volleyball resumes 2015 schedule with Monday trip to Rend Lake

The Vincennes University Volleyball Team’s return to action has been delayed a few days, but the Trailblazers will be back on the court Monday at Rend Lake in Ina, IL.

VU, which had 10 matches in 18 days between the season-opening Aug. 21 and 22 Blazer Classic and a Sept. 7 trip to Lincoln Trail, was originally scheduled to head to Rend Lake Saturday but the match was postponed two days because of the Warriors’ difficulty in lining up officials for the weekend date. Monday’s match begins at 6:30 p.m.

The Trailblazers have won their last two matches – a Sept. 4 matchup with Kaskaskia that VU claimed, 3-1, and the straight-sets victory on Sept. 7 at Lincoln Trail – and are now at full strength after freshman outside hitter Kaeli James (Albion, IL/Edwards County) returned to the lineup prior to the Kaskaskia match. It was her first action of the season after recuperating from a preseason injury.

Following the match at Rend Lake Monday, VU will continue its long road stretch by traveling to Champaign, IL, for the Sept. 18 and 19 sessions of the three-day Parkland Classic.

·    VU returns to the P.E. Complex to host the Showdown At The Wabash on Oct. 2 and 3. The Trailblazers will host Cincinnati State, Kalamazoo Valley, Lake Michigan, Lincoln Trail and Parkland. The event’s complete schedule is as follows:
