VINCENNES, lnd. - The Vincennes University women’s basketball team secured a perfect 13-0 regular season home record after beating Southwestern Illinois 118-52 Wednesday night in the P.E. Complex.

Sophomore Jhala Henry (Jeffersonville, Ind.) scored 29 points with 12 points from three-point territory, as well as six rebounds. Henry is ranked second in the nation for steals and seventh in total points.

Sophomore guard Jhala Henry says. . .

It felt amazing getting to play the whole first three quarters of my last regular season game here. It’s kind of upsetting to think about it being my last, but we’re a team, and we’ve always played as a team. It was a really great feeling getting to play with all of my sophomores one last time before we get in to the district tournament. Hopefully we can keep playing the way we have been, and keep doing it as a team. We’re really confident going in to the tournament, that’s just how we are, we’re a confident team. We’re going to do everything we can to get there, then go to Texas, and get it done. Our mindset is right, we’re all on the same page, we all have confidence in each other, and that’s how a team should be.”

  • The Blazers are currently on a 7-game win streak
