VU Trailblazer men 15th, women 22nd in season's final cross country poll

A strong performance at the recent NJCAA Region 12 Cross Country Championship Meet has boosted the Vincennes University Men's Cross Country Team to the 15th spot in the final USTFCCCA/NJCAA Div. I Cross Country Rankings of the season. The Trailblazers jumped from 23rd in the previous poll.

The VU women, who have battled injuries and illnesses throughout the season, were 22nd in the final poll.

Both VU squads earned spots in Saturday's NJCAA Div. I Cross Country Championships, hosted by Iowa Central in Fort Dodge, IA.

As for the final rankings, Iowa Central retained the top position in both the men's and women's polls. The second, third and fourth spots remained unchanged too. Those are:
No. 2:    South Plains for the men; Lansing for the women,
No. 3:    Central Arizona for the men and women,
No. 4:    Paradise Valley for the men; El Paso for the women.

The fifth place team in the final poll for the men is Louisburg (also No. 5 in the previous poll), while Mesa jumped up a spot to fifth in the women's poll.
