VINCENNES, Ind. - Lothian Skelton, widow of the legendary comedian and clown, Red Skelton, will be honored with a dinner on March 7 during a visit to Vincennes University.
Lothian previously donated $5 million worth of Red’s personal and show business memorabilia which is now curated by the Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy, located adjacent to VU’s Red Skelton Performing Arts Center.
Museum supporters and patrons are invited to an exclusive dinner which will be held at the Skelton Center, 7 p.m. (EST). and tickets are available through Friday, March 3. ABOUT THE MUSEUM
The Red Skelton Museum of American Comedy is designed to preserve and share the legacy of Vincennes native Red Skelton, an internationally recognized entertainer whose talents included comedy, pantomime, painting, composing, and writing. Located adjacent to the $20 million Red Skelton Performing Arts Center on the campus of Vincennes University, the Museum provides a showcase for some of the $5 million collection of Skelton's costumes, props, awards, and memorabilia, that have been donated by his widow, Lothian Skelton.
