Regional History & Pamphlet Collection

Historians, genealogists, students and other researchers can use the World Wide Web to access the indexes to some of Lewis Library's most important holdings: the Regional History Collection (RHC) and the Pamphlet (PAM) and Map (MAP) collections.

The Regional History Collection is a comprehensive group of letters, documents and manuscripts dating from the 18th century with an emphasis on the settlement and development of the American Midwest. The collections are of a governmental, business and personal nature, with a special focus on Vincennes and Vincennes University. The total number of individual collections in the RHC has grown to over 623 and covers more than 85 feet of archival space.
