The average length of time for an item to arrive is two weeks but may be shorter and sometimes considerably longer. Also, although an item may be requested, it may not be available from any lending libraries and therefore may not be sent for local use. When items arrive, patrons will be notified that the item is ready to pick up at the Campus Library where requested. Items should also be returned to same Campus Library.
Patrons agree to abide by the due date set by the lending library, which may be different from the usual check-out period at their home institution. Interlibrary loan items cannot be renewed. Overdue interlibrary loan items are subject to a $14/item overdue fine. The patron is responsible for their interlibrary loan items; any damage or loss to such materials will be paid for by the patron. These fines are set by the lending library and may be significantly higher than fines set by the patron's home institution.
NOTE: Our local service is subject to the conditions of the Interlibrary Loan Code of the American Library Association and also to the regulations of individual libraries.
