Foundation Scholarship - Intro

Vincennes University and the Vincennes University Foundation annually award more than $2,000,000 in scholarships and grants to assist students in reaching their educational goals. Scholarship award amounts vary from year to year, based on available funds. All scholarship applications will be reviewed for a possible match. All other scholarships are awarded based on availability.

All scholarship recipients who are eligible for filing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) are required to do so. The FAFSA deadline is April 15 of each year. You may still submit a FAFSA after April 15 but there are some financial aid opportunities you will not receive if filed after April 15.

VU Jasper Campus Academic Scholarship

  • Any major
  • Full time non-transfer student, JASPER CAMPUS
  • Freshmen in the top ten percent of their high school graduation class, completed the requirements for the Indiana Academic Honors Diploma or who scored in the 90th percentile on the GED test.
  • Student need not be a recent high school graduate or GED recipient
  • A minimum of a 3.50 GPA must be maintained at all times during the scholarship period
  • Scholarship is competitive. Not all who meet criteria will receive award
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

VU Jasper Campus Alumni Scholarship

  • Any major
  • Demonstrated academic achievement in high school and in the upper 2/3 of graduating class
  • Graduated High School within the prior 18 months
  • Dependent of a VU graduate and attends Jasper campus
  • Primary consideration given to financial need
  • Selection by Alumni Association board
  • Must file FAFSA each year by state deadline.

  • Primary consideration to students with 3.0 GPA or better

  • Must attend a minimum of one SGA meeting each semester
  • Must attend leadership training at the beginning of the Fall semester
  • Must record a minimum of ten volunteer hours toward Student Activities sponsored events [not including club sponsored events]
