BIL Faculty - Neu

Christopher Neu
MBA, Indiana University
BA, University of Southern Indiana
Faculty member since 1999

I have taught a night class every year since I was hired as an adjunct at VU-Jasper in 1999.  My undergraduate degree is in Accounting is from USI, and my MBA is from Indiana University. Currently, I am Director – Cybersecurity, Risk, & Governance at Kimball International, Inc. I have worked in various financial, IT, and management roles at Kimball for over 25 years. In the community, I serve as a Trustee for the Huntingburg Public Library; previously, I served two terms as an elected official on the Southwest Dubois County School Board. My wife, Leigh, and I live in Huntingburg. Leigh works at Southridge High School where she teaches mostly dual-credit classes as an English & Speech Communication adjunct for USI and Ivy Tech.

Leigh and I are "empty nesters" as our 2 kids are grown. Our daughter is in Chicago, and our son lives in Knoxville. We have always had animals (named after Arthurian legends) in our home, and at the moment it is just Leigh, me, and our German Shepherd Sir Galahad.

Teaching is a passion of mine, and I firmly believe education can and will change your life. I enjoy meeting people and imparting what I know to others. I hope I can have a positive impact on your life. I expect my students to enjoy my classes – I certainly will! My desire is to provoke you to think and to motivate you to learn. I promise to do this in an environment that open, where your ideas will always be heard and respected.
