Meet Our Provost

Jaci Lederman InterimProvost and VP of Instructional Services

Meet Jaci Lee Lederman

Trailblazer. Technologist. Teacher at heart.

Jaci Lee Lederman serves Vincennes University as Interim Provost, Vice President for Instructional Services, and Dean of Faculty. A dynamic leader and lifelong learner, Jaci is known for her down-to-earth approach, collaborative mindset, and unwavering commitment to students, faculty, and staff.

Before stepping into her current academic leadership roles, Jaci served as the University’s Executive Director and Chief Information Officer—where she led bold digital transformations to better serve the modern learner. With more than 25 years of industry experience in IT leadership, she brings a rare blend of strategic vision and hands-on technical expertise. Her path also includes over a decade as a full-time faculty member, department chair, and tenured professor in Information Technology—reminding everyone she leads that she’s been in their shoes and believes in their potential.

Jaci holds an MBA from Western Governors University, a bachelor’s in Management from the University of Phoenix, and an associate degree in Computer Programming from Vincennes University. She’s credentialed in cybersecurity, disaster recovery, project management, and IT service management, but what truly sets her apart is her passion for making education practical, personal, and powerful.

Jaci continues to teach as an adjunct professor while championing initiatives that create meaningful opportunities—like the new Computer Science degree at VU or the inaugural Women IN Tech Symposium she founded in 2024 to shine a light on women making waves in STEM across Indiana.

Recognized nationally with the EC-Council’s Circle of Excellence in Cybersecurity Education, Jaci is a builder of people and programs. She believes in servant leadership, authentic mentorship, and the ripple effect of kindness. Whether she’s volunteering with United Way’s Day of Caring (which she’s done for over 20 years), serving in her church, or in the background supporting local nonprofits, Jaci leads with humility, heart, and purpose.

Her guiding belief? Technology should empower. Education should uplift. Leadership should serve.

Jaci encourages others to reflect on their journey: “If your path to success was lonely… did you really succeed?”  To her, true success is measured by how many people you bring with you, by unity and connections.
