Shircliff Gallery serves and enriches the Department of Art and Design and the public communities of Vincennes and Southwestern Indiana through collections, exhibitions, and special events. With a focus on the visitor experience, Shircliff Gallery presents curatorial and installation projects that challenge and promote discourse surrounding living artists and their works.

Shircliff Gallery exhibitions and speaker programs in the Art and Design Department are made possible in part with a generous grant from the Indiana Arts Commission; the Vanderburgh Community Foundation, a partner of the Community-Foundation Alliance, Inc.: and the National Endowment for the Arts, a federal agency. The Shircliff Gallery of Art is a member of the Association of Academic Museums and Galleries (AAMG). Vincennes University is an accredited member of the National Association of Schools of Art and Design (NASAD). VU Art and Design graduates have transferred to more than 70 four-year colleges and professional art schools across the country.
