Our Programs 

Business Administration

The Business Administration program at VU Jasper is part of Indiana’s Transfer Single Articulation Pathway (TSAP), letting students transfer 60 credits into a bachelor’s degree with junior standing. Courses in accounting, economics, business law, statistics, computer applications, and a capstone project build a strong foundation and practical skills. Graduates are ready for advanced study or careers in management, finance, marketing, and entrepreneurship.

Business Management

The Business Management program at VU Jasper provides a strong base in accounting, business law, computer applications, sales, marketing, supervision, and small business development. Internships and projects build leadership skills for roles in administration, sales, retailing, finance, and small business. Students may also choose a Finance Concentration.

Computer Science

The Computer Science program at VU Jasper builds a strong foundation in programming, databases, data structures, web design, information security, and discrete math. With languages like Java and coursework in systems development and statistical analysis, students gain problem-solving and technical skills for careers in software development, systems analysis, database management, or web development, or for transfer into bachelor’s programs.

Paramedic

The EMS program at VU Jasper prepares students to become paramedics providing advanced prehospital care under physician direction. Coursework in anatomy, physiology, prehospital care, clinical education, and a capstone builds knowledge and hands-on skills to manage emergencies. Graduates are ready for careers with ambulance services, rescue providers, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare facilities.

Emergency Medical Technician

The EMT program at VU Jasper trains students to provide critical prehospital care in emergencies. Classroom, lab, and clinical experiences teach patient assessment, management of respiratory, cardiac, and trauma emergencies, and safe transport. Graduates are eligible for Indiana and National Registry certification exams to become licensed EMTs.

With more than 25 years of experience as Treasurer for a family-owned business, Professor Trent brings both professional and academic expertise to Vincennes University Jasper. She joined the faculty in 2019 and now serves as Assistant Professor and Academic Area Coordinator for Business, IT, and Public Service, teaching courses in accounting, business, economics, and math across multiple campuses and delivery formats. She holds an associate degree from Vincennes University, a bachelor’s degree from Indiana State University, and an MBA from Baker College.

With over 7 years of experience in the accounting sector, Morgan currently works at Buechlein & Associates and serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Vincennes University Jasper. She has passed 2 out of the 4 CPA exams to become a certified public accountant.

With 37 years of experience in leadership roles at Kimball International, including serving as Chief Information and Human Resources Officer, Lonnie brings a wealth of real-world knowledge to his students. An Indiana University graduate with a degree in Mathematics and Computer Science, he remains active in the nonprofit sector through service on multiple community boards while teaching as an adjunct professor at Vincennes University Jasper.

With over 25 years of experience in financial, IT, and management roles, Christopher currently serves as Director of Cybersecurity, Risk, & Governance at Kimball International and has been a faculty member at Vincennes University Jasper since 1999. He holds a BA in Accounting from the University of Southern Indiana and an MBA from Indiana University, bringing decades of real-world expertise to his students.
