Faculty are available a minimum of seven office hours per week - outside of class time for students' questions. The curriculum in the Math Department offers complete course work for the first two-years, which can transfer to many four-year universities.

VU offers the complete 18-hour calculus series as well as Finite Mathematics, Statistics, and 9 hours of special course work designed for elementary education majors.

Mathematics Lab
The Vincennes University Mathematics Laboratory Complex is open to all Vincennes University students needing assistance or special accommodations in mathematics. Tutoring is available on a non-appointment basis. The lab includes a study area and several individual computer stations. In addition, two self-contained classrooms adjacent to the lab are equipped for the computer assisted math classes.

Two full time professionals and several student tutors, majoring in engineering or mathematics, staff the lab. In the informal setting of the math lab, students can work on teacher-lectured or teacher-led computer aided homework assignments, receive tutoring in specific areas of need, and take exams or quizzes. Videos tapes, review exams, computer tutorials, and additional support materials are available in the lab.
