VINCENNES, Ind. - Christina Hale, former Democratic member of the Indiana House of Representatives, will speak on the topic, "Civic Participation: This Means You," on Sept. 21, 11 a.m. (EDT), at Vincennes University’s Red Skelton Performing Arts Center, 20 Red Skelton Blvd. Her presentation is made in celebration of Constitution Day, which is Sept. 17. The public is invited to attend.
The Constitution Day presentation is sponsored by VU Student Activities and will also feature a group of Rivet High School students leading the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance and a performance of the “Star Spangled Banner” by Daniel Cunningham, Kolton Gard, and Aaron Bunker.
During four years as a state representative from Indianapolis, lifelong Hoosier Christina Hale earned a reputation for effectiveness and bipartisanship. In 2014, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce called her “one of the most active, thoughtful, and determined state legislators.” In selecting her to be his running mate in 2016, gubernatorial candidate John Gregg cited her “record of reaching across the aisle.”
