Vincennes University Jasper is seeking applicants for a Custodian/ Maintenance position. This is a full-time support staff position with benefits located in Jasper, IN. This position will perform general cleaning and maintenance of facilities. Hours are generally 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. with one half an hour for lunch. Hours are subject to variation depending on needs of the campus.

 

Responsibilities of the position are:

 

  • General cleaning of classrooms, offices, hallways and meeting rooms

  • Cleaning and servicing restrooms

  • Damp mopping, waxing, polishing floors, and window washing

  • Trash removal from buildings

  • Care of equipment

  • Light landscape maintenance

Vincennes University’s Office of Housing/Residential Life invites applications for a Secretary I position. This is a full-time, support staff position.

 

Responsibilities of the position are:

 

  • Schedule and maintain appointments for the office;
  • Prepare confidential materials, including personnel matters;

Secretary (Office of Student Life) – Vincennes, IN

Vincennes University’s Office of Student Life invites applications for a Secretary I position. This is a full-time, support staff position.

 

The Office of Student Life, located in Harrison Residence Hall, consists of the following departments: Student Activities, Multicultural Affairs, and International Affairs.

The Office of Student Life Secretary at Vincennes University reports directly to the Associate Dean of Students. This person performs all office duties for the Associate Dean of Students and the Office of Judicial Affairs, while providing clerical support for all Student Life departments.

Responsibilities of the position are:

Administrative

  • Maintain the daily calendar for the Associate Dean of Students

  • Schedule all meetings concerning violations of the Standards of Student Behavior

  • Schedule all judicial hearings and assemble associated paperwork

  • Maintain all records pertaining to disciplinary cases

  • Maintains and processes all daily paperwork for the Judicial Affairs office

  • Provides clerical support for the Student Activities, Multicultural and International Affairs departments

    Individuals applying for this position must have excellent keyboarding, grammar, and spelling skills. They must also possess good organizational and interpersonal communication abilities.  Secretary I (MEP WA) – Bremerton

Full-Time

 

Vincennes University's Military Education Program Washington, to include Naval Base Kitsap Bremerton, Bangor, and Naval Hospital Bremerton sites as required. This is a full-time, support staff position with benefits located in Bremerton, WA.

 

This position is responsible for:

 

  • Data entry, preparing letters, answering phones and performing general office duties as assigned.
    Performs various clerical and routine accounting tasks in support of site operations.

  • Procure and maintain required office supplies.

  • Track student registrations, tuition payments, for both local and distance education site enrollments.

  • Maintain instructional supplies inventory to include textbooks, consumables and non-consumable assets.

  • Provide daily executive overview reports to the site director as required.

  • Assist the director in marketing and promoting VU MEP in Washington.

  • Travel as necessary to the educational sites of Washington

  • Provide cross training to other employees of VU MEP.

  • Provide support for Directors and Advisors.

  • Maintain a highly efficient and organized office environment, to include but not limited to: providing accurate information on phone, via email, and in person to the public; maintaining confidentiality in the work environment; creating and maintaining files and systems of organization both electronically and via hard copy; basic computer maintenance for all computers in the system; billing; meeting deadlines associated with the academic calendar; accurate operation of the VU Text Loan System.

Graphic Designer – Vincennes, IN

Full-Time Print Media Services

 

Vincennes University is seeking applicants for a Graphic Designer. This is a full-time support staff position with benefits. This position is part of Vincennes University’s Print Media Services team and will be responsible for facilitating the production of creative print and digital materials.

Primary Function:

The position will develop, design, edit and produce a variety of print and digital communication materials in a variety of print and electronic formats. All material must exhibit excellence and accuracy in design and content, as well as adherence to Vincennes University brand guidelines. In particular, this position will design and produce University presentations, technical documents, faculty projects, advertisements, etc. This position will interact with all levels of staff and must demonstrate a strong commitment to providing superior service. The Print Media Services team also includes the University Mailroom and Document Imaging Departments. As such, this position will be expected to work as team to ensure the successful operation of Print Media Services.

This position is responsible for:

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

 

  • Meet with faculty and staff to generate design ideas

  • Select photos for project use and/or produce new photos and graphics

  • Layout page designs and set type

  • Create design proofs for faculty and staff approval

  • Collaborate with outside design and printing firms

  • Design and prepare files for document imaging and/or color printing

  • Collect fonts and graphics for output and prepare files for outside printers

  • Maintain archive of design files

  • Maintain and upkeep Print Media Services Server

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Strong experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Premier Pro and Acrobat) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Ability to present creative ideas

  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously and meet production deadlines. The successful candidate will have good organizational skills

  • Willingness to work with others in a team environment

  • Ability to create and produce graphic materials using a range of media, methods, techniques, and equipment is strongly preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing

  • Must be able to lift and move heavy paper boxes up to 50lbs

  • Work with Vincennes University faculty and staff to ensure a consistent branding of university logos and printed materials

  • Associate degree in design and/or certificate in graphic design is preferred and two to three years in the design field.
