Vincennes University will feature its education and training programs at the WestGate Academy Conferencing and Training Center as well as the Battery Innovation Center, located just outside the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Crane, Indiana.
VU will offer an Electronics Fundamentals Certificate at the Battery Innovation Center and provide advising on a 15-week CNC Machinist program offered at the Vincennes University campus, both leading to opportunities in rewarding careers. The Right Skills Now-CNC Machinist program is approved by the Department of Veteran Affairs and housing and scholarships are available. Both programs require no prior experience to enroll. Eligible students may have this certification paid in full with available grant funding.

Electronics Fundamentals 8369, C.G.
Vincennes University's Electronics Fundamentals Certificare program provides you with a comprehensive introduction to all areas of electronics (AC/DC, digital circuits, and linear electronics) in classrooms and through the hands-on use of multi-meters, oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and soldering techniques in the lab.
An earned certificate is equivalent to completing the first year of an Associate's Degree program. Graduates will be eligible for transfer to two-degree programs for Electronics Technician or Biomedical Equipment Technician.
- No previous experience in electronics required
- All tools and parts needed for classes are provided
- High school diploma or equivalent required for registration (except current high school students)
- Some students may have this certification paid in full with available grant funding.
