Austin Welp was hired in July 2024 as the Assistant Director of Special Projects, working with the VU Jasper Foundation in partnership with the VU Foundation. Welp has a passion for philanthropy and ensuring the success of students in the community.

As Assistant Director, Welp will work to advance the University’s mission and ensure the Jasper Campus’ continued success in delivering high-quality education to Dubois County and surrounding communities. Predominantly, he will serve at the Vincennes University Jasper campus to help build relationships with individuals and corporations to support students and other institutional priorities, but he will also be at the Vincennes University Campus periodically.

Welp obtained his Bachelor of Science from the University of Southern Indiana in December 2021. Prior to joining VU, Welp worked for the YMCA. He resides in Dubois County and serves on four other organizations in Dubois County while being President of two of these organizations.
