Steps to become a Trailblazer

Register for Classes

New Student Registration Program

  1. Trailblazer Kickoff is our new student registration program that begins in
    April for the fall semester and in November for the spring semester.
  2. Sign-up information will be sent to accepted students in mid-March for the fall semester and in October for the spring semester.
  3. Accuplacer, or placement test, or admission requirements will need to be completed before being contacted by an advisor to schedule classes. See Placement Testing (above).

A new group of students come to campus for orientation.

Registration Requirements

All students must demonstrate college readiness before they are eligible to register for any classes.

College readiness can be demonstrated by:

2.5 High School GPA on a 4.0 scale

College Credit

6 college credits

SAT/ACT*

Next Generation Accuplacer (2019 & later)*

*Only one minimum score is required.

If placement testing is required

Complete Placement Testing - Beginning in January

  1. Complete the VU Placement process before class registration. VU uses the following to determine class placement: Registration Requirements

IMMUNIZATION AND MEDICAL INFORMATION

  1. Send in your Immunization Record & Medical History/Physical Exam Form. Complete this process after you have receivedacceptance notifi cation. You can fi nd your immunization record on your high school transcript or at your local healthdepartment.
  2. According to Indiana law, immunization records are required of all students. Learn more about our Immunization Policy
