We know going to college is a big decision and can be an expensive one. Our student financial services staff goes the extra mile to help you find solutions to paying for school.
Here's what you'll need to know first... scholarships, grants, and loans are all different things, but all forms of financial assistance. Scholarships and grants are funds to pay for school that you do not have to pay back. Loans, as you might guess, you do have to pay back eventually. All of this is sometimes called your financial aid package or award.
You'll also hear a lot about the FAFSA. FAFSA stands for Free Application for Federal Student Aid. It is a Web-based form that helps determine what kind of aid you are eligible for from the federal and state government. We strongly recommend that you fill out the FAFSA each year, even if you don't think you're eligible. You never know until you complete it, and some scholarship donors require you to complete the FAFSA.
