Scholarships

60% of VU students receive financial assistance to pay for college -- including more than $1 million in scholarships and grants. At VU, we do our best to make applying for scholarships simple.

After you submit the VU scholarship application, we take care of finding the scholarships you are eligible for in the VU scholarship listing.  Those who file by January 15 each year are considered first, but we award scholarships on a rolling basis. The middle income scholarship and the unlimited horizons scholarship require separate applications, which are linked below.

You should also check your local sources of scholarships.  Many companies have scholarship programs for employees or children of employees.  Fraternal organizations in your town might also have scholarship programs.  Most Indiana counties have community foundations that award scholarships to local residents.  Indiana students can check out this list of community foundations: http://www.tgci.com/funding/cfs.asp?statename=Indiana&statecode=IN.  Students from other states can click on their state on the map at http://www.tgci.com/funding.shtml.  High school students, your school's guidance office should have applications for these scholarships.

You can also try a safe, free scholarship search site like FastWEB.com.  They match the profile you give them of yourself to their database of scholarships and grants.  If you try other scholarship search sites, check their privacy policy, and don't ever pay anyone to look for scholarships.

Some organizations have also sent us their scholarship information.  That list is linked below.  We try to keep this list up to date, but we don't necessarily always receive their most recent information.
