Introduction:

I am an experienced higher education leader who is passionate about helping students succeed.

I have served in various roles across the Jasper Campus in the areas of Student Activities, Student Services and Academic Support Services. This background has help me gain a broad knowledge of University processes and prepared me for my current role of Assistant Dean of Academic and Student Services.

In this role, I provide strategic leadership, coordination, and operational support across academic scheduling, faculty coordination, student advising, and student support services. I work to implement academic-based innovations in advising, recruitment, and retention. I also coordinate the STEM Academy for the Jasper Campus.

Teaching Philosophy/Approach:

I earned my Master’s degree while working full time, so I understand the challenges that our students face of attending classes both in person and online, while balancing a full time job and family duties. I understand that each student’s situation is different, and I strive to do everything I can to help students through roadblocks that may come their way. I have a passion for helping others achieve their academic and personal goals and that is what drives me every day in my work.

Personal Interests:

I have two young kids that keep me busy and on my toes! I enjoy spending time with family and friends, playing with my kids, reading, and relaxing outdoors.
