I have been Dean of the College of Social Science, Performing Arts, and Communication (SSPAC) since
2018; I have been fortunate to be a part of the VU family for many years. In my current role, I assist
SSPAC’s efforts toward achieving VU’s strategic goals and initiatives.

Teaching Philosophy/Approach:
My teaching and working philosophy centers on fostering genuine connections with students, faculty, and staff, believing that a supportive and empathetic environment is crucial for effective learning and
working.

My ultimate goal is to empower students, providing them with the tools and confidence to navigate their educational journey.

Special Certifications:
Graduate Certificate in TESL/TEFL, Indiana State University
Professional License: Illinois and Indiana Teaching Licenses

Personal Interests:
When I'm not working, you'll often find me outside! I love getting my hands dirty in the yard/garden and winding down with daily walks with my husband. It's my go-to for clearing my head and hitting the
refresh button. And full disclosure, I'm a total foodie! There's nothing I love more than whipping up new recipes or checking out amazing restaurants. Finding a new favorite spot is always a win.

Why Vincennes University?
As a proud graduate of Vincennes University, one of the things I truly value is the incredible sense of
community here. It's more than just a school; it's a place filled with caring individuals who genuinely want to help students succeed.
