Steve Beaman

Steve Beaman serves as the Associate Director of Communications and Donor Relations for the Vincennes University Foundation, having joined the team in January 2023. In his role, Steve focuses on cultivating meaningful connections and building relationships with donors. He strongly believes that philanthropy begins with listening,learning what excites individuals, families, alumni and helping them turn those passions into lasting support for Vincennes University and its students.

Every donor has a distinct story, and Steve views those personal journeys as the common thread that binds the Trailblazer community over generations.

Steve brings nearly three decades of experience in public service and recreation management to the role, including 16 years as the Superintendent for the City of Vincennes Parks Department. Throughout his career, he has been involved with donor engagement, running multiple annual campaigns, securing corporate sponsorships, leading serval large capital campaigns, and numerous fundraising initiatives.

Through these experiences Steve deeply recognizes how essential the Foundation’s work is to the university’s overall mission.

Steve’s dedication to Vincennes University is both professional and personal. He and his wife Donna, reside in Vincennes and are proud parents to three sons and grandparents to two wonderful grandchildren. The Beaman family’s ties to VU run deep, with Donna, their son, and their daughter-in-law all sharing the distinction of being VU alumni.
