January 28, 2019 / Trailblazers roll to makeup win

GODFREY, Ill. - Coming off an emotional win over district foe and No. 3 ranked John A. Logan just two nights prior, the Vincennes University men’s basketball team did not have letdown Monday night.

Led by career nights from Kevin Osawe and Colton Sandage , the Trailblazers rolled to a District 16 road win Monday night at Lewis and Clark.

Osawe poured in a career and game high 21 points, while Sandage tossed in a career-best 19 points in the Trailblazers 77-49 win.

The game was a makeup contest from a postponement on Jan. 12.

With the win, the No. 4 ranked Trailblazers improve to 19-1 on the season.

Both Osawe and Sandage connected on four 3-pointers in the rout.

VU led 39-27 at halftime before building on the lead throughout the second half.

George Dixon and Keith Clemons gave the Trailblazers four player in double figures as the two starters scored 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Trailblazers remain on the road this week as they travel to Southeastern Illinois Wednesday night and at Lake Land on Saturday.
