Kim Wright
As the director of CARA, she oversees a multi-million dollar grant, leads curriculum innovation, and expands access to collaborative robotics across Indiana schools. With over two decades of experience in teaching, program management, corporate training, and military service, Kimberly has managed nationally recognized apprenticeship models, taught a variety of technical subject areas, and driven strategic partnerships with industry.
She holds an associate’s degree in Computer Integrated Manufacturing and Robotics, and a bachelor’s degree in Technology Management, both from Vincennes University. She earned a dual master’s from Ball State University in Executive Development for Public Service and Adult & Community Education. Kim is also a Certified Professional in Talent Development.

Hurco Advanced CNC Machining Technology Center
2,330 sq. ft. lab with 17 CNC mills/lathes, Mastercam software, synthetic coolant systems, and upcoming CNC laser marking/cutting system.
Additive Manufacturing & Reverse Engineering Center
2,930 sq. ft. space with 3D printers (powder, filament, resin, metal), digitizers, and scanners for prototyping and reverse engineering.
John Deere Ag Tech Lab
Hands‑on training with John Deere equipment, diagnostics, hydraulics, diesel engines, and electronic controls, plus summer internships.
Diesel Technology Lab
Full‑scale diesel service bays with diagnostic tools for engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, drivetrains, and power generation systems.
Product Design & Production Processes Lab
CAD (SolidWorks, AutoCAD), manual drafting, 3D printing, laser scanning, and reverse engineering for real‑world product development.
Gene Haas Training & Education Center (Lebanon)
Satellite facility with 10 cobots for workforce training in automation and robotics, supporting Indiana’s manufacturing sector.
Aviation Technology Hangar
Hands‑on training facility for aviation maintenance, including turbine and piston engines, airframes, and avionics systems.
