VU Alumni Association to honor Kirk Bouchie with 2026 Davis Citation

VINCENNES, Ind. – The Vincennes University Alumni Association will honor Kirk Bouchie with the 2026 Walter A. Davis Memorial Citation for Service on Friday, July 31.
The event will take place at the Highland Woods Community Center in Vincennes. A casual reception will begin at 5:30 p.m. (ET), with the award presentation at 6 p.m.
Presented annually since 1952, the Walter A. Davis Memorial Citation for Service recognizes individuals whose leadership, professional accomplishments, and dedication to community service have made a lasting impact on the Vincennes University community and beyond.
Guests are encouraged to RSVP by Friday, July 24, at vinu.edu/davis-dinner. Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments will be provided compliments of the Vincennes University Alumni Association.
ABOUT 2026 DAVIS CITATION RECIPIENT KIRK BOUCHIE
A lifelong Vincennes resident and Vincennes University alumnus, Kirk Bouchie has spent decades serving his community through professional leadership, volunteerism, and civic engagement.
After earning an associate degree in Business Administration from VU, Bouchie completed his bachelor's degree and MBA at Indiana University's Kelley School of Business. His professional career included 24 years in commercial banking, where he became one of Indiana's youngest bank presidents, followed by service as general manager of Vincennes Water Utilities.
Bouchie is widely known for his leadership in the Vincennes Rotary Club, where he is the only member in the organization's history to serve as president twice. He later served as Rotary District Governor and has helped support numerous philanthropic and scholarship initiatives throughout the region.
For nearly 40 years, Bouchie has also been a champion for youth baseball. As president of Vincennes Cub League since 1998, he has helped bring state, regional, national, and world championship tournaments to Vincennes. His dedication earned him the Babe Ruth League's Lefty Gomez National Volunteer of the Year Award and induction into the Babe Ruth League International Hall of Fame.
His service has extended to numerous organizations, including the Vincennes University Foundation, Knox County economic development efforts, the YMCA, Grouseland Foundation, and Vincennes Community School Corporation. He currently serves as vice-chair of the VU Foundation Board of Directors.
The Walter A. Davis Memorial Citation for Service is named for former VU President Walter A. Davis and is awarded to individuals whose commitment to service reflects the values of leadership, citizenship, and community engagement that he exemplified throughout his career.
