Services For Youth
WIA Youth Program:
The program serves youth in two age groups.
Younger Youth (14-18):
A main focus is to offer services and activities that help younger youth stay in school, earn a high school diploma, enroll in post secondary training and/or
secure employment. Youth establish individual goals in areas of basic skills, work readiness skills,
and occupational skills. A personalized plan is developed to assist each youth in meeting established goals.
Older Youth (19-21):
The primary focus for older youth is to assist them in getting the education and training
needed to secure and keep gainful employment. Assistance is designed to meet their specific educational and employment needs.
