Welcome to the Cyber Crime Investigators!

Welcome to the Cyber Crime Investigators (CCI) at Vincennes University! Our club provides a collaborative, interactive community for students eager to learn the intricate world of cybersecurity, information technology, and digital forensics. We exist to empower students to explore cyber defense, apply their technical skills to solve real-world challenges, and build a strong foundation for a career in tech.

What We Do & Our Purpose

The Cyber Crime Investigators club bridges classroom learning with practical, hands-on IT and cybersecurity experiences through team collaboration and engaging activities.

  • Hands-On Cyber & Metadata Analysis: Work directly with computer hardware and software, analyze metadata, and practice real-world digital forensic techniques in an interactive setting.
  •
  • Collegiate Cyber Competitions: Train for and compete in regional events like the Midwest qualifiers, testing your defensive strategy and problem-solving skills against simulated threats.
  •
  • Interactive Labs & Honeypots: Set up and study honeypots, network security configurations, and live-lab environments to understand security vulnerabilities and defensive maneuvers.
  •
  • Industry Guest Speakers: Engage with visiting cybersecurity specialists, law enforcement agents, and IT professionals to gain insights into industry trends and career pathways.
  •
  • Recreational Social Events: Balance technical learning with fun community-building events, such as club cornhole tournaments, game days, and social hangouts.
  •
