Welcome to the Friends Club!

Welcome to the Friends Club at Vincennes University! Our organization is dedicated to bridging the VU campus with the surrounding Knox County community by building meaningful, lasting friendships with adults living with special needs. We exist to foster an inclusive, compassionate campus culture where students can share joy, build social connections, and make a positive impact in the lives of others.

What We Do & Our Purpose

The Friends Club brings VU students and local community members together through engaging social activities and service-driven events.

  • Community Meal Shares: Gather with Knox County adults living with special needs to share meals, conversation, and laughter in a warm, welcoming environment.
  •
  • Interactive Game Nights: Host board game sessions, trivia games, and recreational activities designed to build teamwork and shared joy.
  •
  • Social Outings & Conversation: Spend quality time talking, sharing experiences, and participating in campus and local activities alongside community members.
  •
  • Inclusion & Advocacy Initiatives: Organize campus events that promote awareness, empathy, and advocacy for individuals of all abilities.
  •
