The Information Technology department at Vincennes University is an amazing environment to be a student. The classes will set the stage for your career and let you decide the specific path under the large IT umbrella of possible careers waiting for you. Specifically, the Blazer Careerlink System is an invaluable tool that will help you find internships that are looking for students to hire. I was lucky enough to find an excellent starter IT internship at Grain Processing Corporation in Washington, Indiana working for the parent company Kent Corporation. Learning content in the classroom is a pivotal first step, but I am a firm believer in the vital importance of internships. They will test your dedication in the real world. The real world application of your degree is paramount to understand, and an internship gives you exactly that. This internship, supplemented by my Bachelors degree, gave me an incredible foundation to a very successful career.
