Eligibility requirements

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA

  • Minimum 12 credit hours per semester

  • Must be graduating high school seniors entering VU in the subsequent Fall term

  • Must be enrolled as a fire science, law enforcement, conservation law, or emergency medical services major

  • Must be a resident of Knox County, Indiana, or Lawrence County, Illinois

  • Recipients shall be a student enrolled at Vincennes University in majors defined as “first responder” careers as defined by The Donor

  • Recipients may be pursuing a certificate or degree

Application Requirements

  • Applicants will be asked to submit a written response through a special application about serving their community and their pursuit of a career in public service.

How to Apply

  • Complete the VU Admissions Application by January 15th each year for Priority Deadline. After this date, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.
  • Apply for or update your FAFSA
  • Recipients will be notified via email
