Helen & Hugh Williams Scholarship

A dimly lit, medium shot features a row of four classical busts of presumed Greek philosophers, carved from a light-colored stone. The bust closest to the viewer is in sharpest focus with detailed facial hair and a flowing beard. The others gradually blur into the background, giving depth to the image.

Eligibility requirements

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA

  • Minimum 6 credit hours per semester

  • Can be in any year of study

  • Must be enrolled as a history, government, or political science major

  • First consideration will be for applicants who are residents of Knox County, Indiana, then counties in the geographical area

  • Academic record, leadership, ability and participation in school activities are a consideration

How to Apply

  • Complete the VU Admissions Application by January 15th each year for Priority Deadline. After this date, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.
  • Apply for or update your FAFSA
  • Recipients will be notified via email
