Schneider Geomatics Scholarship

Eligibility requirements

  • Minimum 2.0 GPA

  • Minimum 6 credit hours per semester

  • Can be in any year of study

  • Must be enrolled as a surveying technology major

  • Must be a student who has committed to a summer internship and successfully completes said internship with Schneider Geomatics to receive the second installment as well as meet other required criteria.

  • Must participate in an in-person interview.

  • Recipient(s) transcripts will be reviewed as part of the selection process.

  • Recipients(s) must complete a paid summer internship.

  • The current structure is a May through August internship.

  • The paid internship will require completing eight (8) weeks of work.

  • The paid internship includes field and office work and minimal overnight travel.

  • Accommodations for the internship may be available.

Application Requirements

  • Must submit a minimum 500-word essay answering the question, “Why I want to be a Land Surveyor.”

How to Apply

  • Complete the VU Admissions Application by January 15th each year for Priority Deadline. After this date, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.
  • Apply for or update your FAFSA
  • Recipients will be notified via email
