Student Government Association Scholarship

A classroom scene shows several college students sitting at individual desks, engaged in hands-on literacy activities. Each desk is equipped with various educational games and materials such as colorful counters, reading aids, and matching activities from "hand2mind". The students are focused and working individually. The classroom is decorated with educational posters which include "Branches of Government", "One Kind Word" and a "yay! YOU'RE HERE!" sign hanging above a bulletin board. Round paper lanterns hang from the ceiling to complete the learning environment.

Eligibility requirements

  • Minimum 2.5 GPA and must be maintained during scholarship term

  • Minimum 6 credit hours per semester

  • Can be in any year of study

  • Can be enrolled in any major

  • Traditional or Non-traditional students considered

  • Student Government Association Officer

  • Jasper Campus

How to Apply

  • Complete the VU Admissions Application by January 15th each year for Priority Deadline. After this date, scholarships will be awarded on a rolling basis.
  • Apply for or update your FAFSA
  • Recipients will be notified via email
