What can I expect during my time at VU?

The program prepares you for an exciting career in commercial aviation through a balance of flight and academic classes. Aviation Flight majors begin their flight training during the first week of class on their way to 45 hours of flight time in their first semester. Over the course of the 2 year program you will fly 250 hours of flight time and earn your Associates Degree.

Flight training is conducted at Eagle Creek Airport in Indianapolis with Vincennes University Aircraft and Flight Instructors.


What can I do with this degree?

Students can earn the following qualifications in our Flight Program:

  • Private Pilot Certificate
  • Instrument Rating
  • Commercial Pilot Certificate
  • Certified Flight Instructor (CFI)
