What are State Grants?

Grants are money given to help students based on need and other eligibility factors. Grants do not have to be repaid. The amounts vary from year to year. To be considered for state grants, you have to submit your FAFSA by April 15th each year. Some state scholarships and tuition remissions require separate application.
