VU Board of Trustees approves Greenhouse naming, champions community services
Vincennes University’s deep-rooted commitment to educational innovation and community services was at the center of the VU Board of Trustees meeting on Wednesday, Aug. 19, at the Jasper Campus. Highlights included the official naming of a soon-to-be-constructed greenhouse at the University’s Agricultural Center, which will set a strong foundation for elevating hands-on learning opportunities for studying plant sciences, sustainability practices, environmental awareness and career exploration.

Carrying the Torch of Legacy: VU kicks off 2026-27 Academic Year
Bathed in a warm, flickering glow, the Red Skelton Performing Arts Center transformed as Vincennes University faculty and staff gathered side-by-side, igniting a symbolic torch to usher in a bright new chapter for the 2026-27 academic year. Celebrating 225 years of excellence, the University’s Opening Meeting on Aug. 10 was filled with passion and exuberance as each person set their candle ablaze.
