VU ID

VU ID

We’re happy to announce that Vincennes University is transitioning to mobile IDs for students. Mobile IDs won’t be available until Spring 2026. During this interim year, students that already have a BlazerOne card will continue to use that as your official VU ID. This card will handle ID card services, such as checking out library books or using your meal plan in Tecumseh dining center (your VU ID is required to enter the dining center). New students that don’t have a BlazerOne card will receive a new ID card at the start of the fall semester. Students at the Vincennes campus need to go to the Bursar Office to pick up their ID. Students at the Jasper campus need to go to the Administrative Office to pick up their ID.

New students that recently received a BlazerOne card do NOT need to activate the card. It can still be used as a VU ID without being activated. The BlazerOne card will no longer be used for student refunds. Please visit the Refunds and Fastpass page for more information on the new student refund process and how to enroll.

Students that don’t have a BlazerOne card will still need to get their picture taken for their new ID. ONLY students taking courses on the Vincennes and Jasper campuses will need to submit a photo for their VU ID. To submit the online photo, login to your VUX account (Google Chrome is the preferred browser). Go to the “Upload Student ID Photo” card and click on the picture. Please read the guidelines carefully and follow the directions to submit your photo.

If you previously activated your BankMobile account as a Vibe Account, those banking services will continue to be available to you through BankMobile. However, please understand that you will still need to enroll in direct deposit refunds on VUX for any future refunds for which you might be eligible. For questions regarding your existing Vibe account with BankMobile, you should contact 1-800-815-6109. You can also contact our office at 812-888-4361.

Official Image Requirements

Yes, you can smile!

This should be a color photo taken on against a plain, light background. You should be facing directly ahead; please do not look down or to either side. Your photo should be cropped slightly above head to the middle of your chest. Head coverings for religious beliefs are acceptable, provided that the head covering shows a full view of the face, does not cast a shadow onto the face, and shows an overall pattern in the fabric or material (i.e., not a graphic design).

Prescription glasses may be worn for the photo; however, there should be no reflections from the eyeglasses that obscure the eyes. Dark glasses or nonprescription glasses with tinted lenses are not acceptable unless they are needed for medical reasons; a medical certificate may be required.  No hats are allowed. The key requirement for your ACCESS card image is that the photo clearly identifies you, the cardholder.
